Labour has officially won the 2024 UK General Election. Results still coming in but it&#8217;s set to be an absolute landslide&#8230;<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.Com\/politics\/live\/2024\/jul\/04\/general-election-2024-uk-live-labour-tories-starmer-sunak-results-exit-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.theguardian.Com\/politics\/live\/2024\/jul\/04\/general-election-2024-uk-live-labour-tories-starmer-sunak-results-exit-poll<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Not so much that Labour won, than the Tories lost.<\/h2>\n<p>Granted, this time it was more about people voting out the Tories, rather than actively supporting Labour. And the growth of the far right so-called &#8220;Reform party&#8221; is rather worrying. Nevertheless, the Tories are out and Labour now has a massive majority.<\/p>\n<p>And considering the misery and hardship they&#8217;ve inflicted upon us, it was encouraging to see so many &#8220;top Tories&#8221; lose their seats. I particularly enjoyed watching Jacob Rees Mogg&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Portillo_moment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Portillo moment<\/a>&#8220;. Toffee-nosed clown thought he&#8217;d won. But he lost. Though I&#8217;m severely displeased that our Tory MP, a nasty, self-serving, brown-nosed little twit by the name of Alan Mak, wasn&#8217;t hoofed out. Clung on by 100 votes, sadly.<\/p>\n<p>Still, we finally rid ourselves of our conservatives here, and long may it last.
