Found myself in Istanbul with former New Millennium features editor Sarah Keen, during a particularly cold spell, back in February 1996. Now, I had naively imagined that the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye is a hot country. But not in February, apparently. It was bitterly cold with icy winds all the way from Northern Russia, howling across the partly frozen Bosporus.<\/strong><\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n

This has been posted retrospectively. This images were originally taken and scanned from 35mm film to appear in articles I was writing at the time. A few appeared in the New Millennium ezine.
