Hurrah!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The bad news is that <em>Her Majesty&#8217;s Government<\/em> intends to carry on <em>business as usual<\/em> and continue using the highly flawed IE 6 anyway, despite all the well known and highly publicised security risks. Quoting from\u00c2\u00a0 <a title=\"UK Government will use IE6 anyway, even though it has more holes than a swiss cheese.\" href=\"http:\/\/petitions.number10.gov.uk\/ie6upgrade\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/petitions.number10.gov.uk\/ie6upgrade\/<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>[&#8230;] It is therefore more cost effective in many cases to continue to use IE6  and rely on other measures, such as firewalls and malware scanning  software, to further protect public sector internet users.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So it seems <em>the great unwashed<\/em> can look forward to even more data losses and security breeches, compliments of <em>Her Majesty&#8217;s Government<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Honk!
