I found myself in Cambridge, giving an IT course. The weather was pleasant and war, the countryside interesting and i had a nice new MX5 to drive. I also had Fuji S2 digital camera on loan form a client. So I took myself off to the beautiful city of Ely and its environs, whilst taking…
Driving back from seeing a client, I stumbled upon Shefford, a small English town in Bedfordshire.
Today saw another role reversal where I found myself on the lens side of the camera, and one of my models operating it. lovely young woman called Chiara, who also happens to be my researcher. I still look bloody ugly but it was a nice try on her part.
Out for the day with Chiara, my Italian researcher and photo model. Only this time Chiara was behind the camera.
Spent a very enjoyable day buzzing around France in the MGF. It seemed to like French roads, and actually managed to do a whole day without breaking down.
France – staying in an Alsatian gite and cruising around in the MGF. Today we went into Strasbourg, saw the European Parliament and the Council of Europe. Also saw some flamingoes and some rather friendly white Embden geese. Not to mention some rather randy white storks doing their thing.
Today we drove through France down to Strasbourg and arrived safely at the gite.
I was invited to another Taran Microsytems race day. Today we were at the legendary Brands Hatch race track in Kent. I was particularly keen to photograph the Taran team Caterham 7’s again.
A little road trip across the New Forest, to Furzey and Rufus Stone in the MGF.
I was invited to attend one of Taran Microsystems Caterham 7 race days. Today we were at Bedford Aerodrome. My kid brother joined me for the day as we drove up there in a new MGF roadster.
Driving back from Ireland in the little red MGF, via North Wales, through Holyhead and across the Menai Bridge, in the rain.
Today I left Northern Ireland, crossed the border into the Republic at County Monaghan.
I left my uncle’s farm in Brechfa, Carmarthen early this morning and drove the MGF to Fishguard. After a bit of a wait, I boarded a ferry to Rosslare, Ireland. It was a choppy crossing and cars moved about a bit on the car deck, where the MGF acquired a small dent.
I was invited by Duncan Woods at Taran Microsystems to one of their Caterham 7 race days at a very wet and windy Brands Hatch, in Kent. Former New Millennium features editor Sarah Keen joined me.
I was invited by Taran Microsystems to attend and photograph one of its Caterham 7 race days at Castle Coombe in Wiltshire.
This is our last day in France and we head back north towards the Channel ferry, in red MGF. Images taken with Canon Digital Ixus.
