I had to give a course in Colchester yesterday. I stayed overnight and drove back via Southend-on-Sea in Essex. So I thought I should grab a few snaps while I was there.

Found myself in Southampton’s Ocean Village, with a reasonably decent camera. So I decided to grab a few snaps.
Not a plane in the sky
It’s a beautiful spring day here in south east Hampshire. And it’s dead quiet thanks to the Coronavirus lockdown. And the northern sky that normally liberally criss-crossed with vapour trails is a perfect clear sky blue, with no aircraft within 50 km or more.

Went to a concert at Kenwood House, London, which was followed by some quite spectacular fireworks.

Cheap and cheerful overhead camera mount for mirrorless camera. I reckon this is actually pretty safe up to about 2kg. Though I normally use a heavy cable tie as an emergency strap.
