Bumblebees 2025
Lots of bumblebees again this year. Sadly not seen many red tailed ones (bombus lapidarius) But there are a heck of a lot of white tailed bumblebees (bombus lucorum). I’ve already taken quite a few snaps of them in previous years. As ever they are going crazy over our lavender bushes. They cannot get enough of the stuff.
However, this year we have a new variety I have not seen before. They are black and white striped, similar size to bombus lucorum, but all their fur is a sort of off white colour. If anyone can recognise them, i would be very interested to learn what they are?
