Shortwave radio recordings
“Shortwave radio recordings” is a small collection of recordings of various HF and VHF transmissions. These have been hanging around since I recorded them using my Icom IC-R20 radio scanner back in the mid-late noughties. I’m not sure how much interest these will be to other people. But considering Garfnet’s 30th anniversary is only just around the corner, 2025-08-18, and we do cover quite a lot of radio stuff here, I thought it would be fun to dig these out of the archives and make them accessible to all.

To save these files to your hard drive, right click (GNU/Linux & Windows users) or control key + click (MacOS users) on the track you wish to save and select “save as” or similar from the context menu. Please also bear in mind these are recorded on a hand-held radio scanner, often under somewhat suboptimal conditions. So the sound quality is a tad variable. 🙂
