Tories trounced

Tories have just been well and truly trounced in the UK. Labour has officially won the 2024 UK General Election. Results still coming in but it’s set to be an absolute landslide…

Not so much that Labour won, than the Tories lost.

Granted, this time it was more about people voting out the Tories, rather than actively supporting Labour. And the growth of the far right so-called “Reform party” is rather worrying. Nevertheless, the Tories are out and Labour now has a massive majority.

And considering the misery and hardship they’ve inflicted upon us, it was encouraging to see so many “top Tories” lose their seats. I particularly enjoyed watching Jacob Rees Mogg’s “Portillo moment“. Toffee-nosed clown thought he’d won. But he lost. Though I’m severely displeased that our Tory MP, a nasty, self-serving, brown-nosed little twit by the name of Alan Mak, wasn’t hoofed out. Clung on by 100 votes, sadly.

Still, we finally rid ourselves of our conservatives here, and long may it last. Now America, it’s your turn… 👍

Featured image of Keir Starmer at top of article was produced using Craiyon. Producing ugly distorted pictures of politicians seems one of the few things that AI image creation can actually do quite well these days.
