Cheney endorses Kamala

Seems Trump’s re-election plans suffered a bit of a ding today. Well I guess it must come as a shock when senior members of your own party publicly announce their intention to vote for the other side. But Dick Cheney – yes that Dick Cheney – Lord Sith himself has endorsed Kamala Harris rather than Chump.

IMHO, messing with the Cheneys may go down as one of Chump’s biggest blunders. They won’t stop with knocking Chump off his perch. To regain control over their party, conventional conservatives like Cheney need to crush Chump and his whole MAGA movement. They will do it, and they will enjoy doing it. And they ain’t too fussy about how they do it.

It’s been bubbling under the surface for some time. Never forget, in most of Chumps trials, the hostile witnesses have mostly been conservatives. Granted Chump was useful for getting the MAGAt vote. But he’s outlived his usefulness and grown far too big for his boots. And he’s taken a lot of ‘their‘ money. They want him gone.

Fact is Chump is a blithering idiot who has just one useful skill – he’s a very competent conman. He was able to con the great unwashed into voting conservative, even though it was never their interests to do so. But it’s backfired ‘bigly’. Chump wasn’t just the GOP’s useful idiot, he was Putin’s too. And worse than that, he was greedy, even by conservative standards – very very greedy. So now they have to crush him. Ironic to think that it is the elders of Chump’s own party who are most akin to the “deep state” he’s always babbling on about. 🙂

Now it seems they’ll even sacrifice an election in order to be rid of the bastard. Not that one should ever confuse conservatives such as the Cheney’s with good people. They’re certainly not. Supporting Kamala is just a means to an end insofar as they are concerned. It’s just another example of conservatives trying to conserve what conservatives have always conserved, certainly for the last couple of centuries, i.e.: the wealth and power of the powerful and wealthy – themselves.

Of course it will be really interesting to see what the effects are down-ballot. This is uncharted territory, but my gut feeling is that the more ‘openly MAGAt‘ the down-ballot candidate is, the more (s)he’s likely to suffer. Also worth adding that the ratings-based US media need to portray this like a neck-and-neck race. And it kinda suits the politicians too. Last think Kamala wants now is electors thinking it’s “in the bag” and not bothering to vote.

Bottom line is, if senior well-connected members of your own party hate you so much that they are telling your voters to vote for the other side, then you’re screwed.
