ByGarfChristmas card 2010, “The Old Cemetery in the Snow.” The Old Cemetery runs alongside Southampton Common, about 800 metres from where I live and work. It is a beautiful and peaceful place at any time of year. However, it seems particularly photogenic after a heavy snowfall. Batthyány Kastélyszálló in the snow
ByGarfGirlfriend and I stayed overnight at the Batthyány Kastélyszálló, a few kilometres from Pécs. Interesting place – it was lovely outside, but a bit rough inside, with plaster literally peeling off the walls. Still, it was good fun.
France – staying in an Alsatian gite
ByGarfFrance – staying in an Alsatian gite and cruising around in the MGF. Today we went into Strasbourg, saw the European Parliament and the Council of Europe. Also saw some flamingoes and some rather friendly white Embden geese. Not to mention some rather randy white storks doing their thing.
