Found myself in Southampton’s Ocean Village, with a reasonably decent camera. So I decided to grab a few snaps.
I don’t have a TV licence – I don’t intend to buy one either. We have a nice big roof mounted TV aerial which I have repurposed for much better things. For a start, it receives FM and DAB radio perfectly adequately. We’re only a 35 km crow’s flight from the hefty Rowridge VHF transmitter….

Girlfriend and I stayed overnight at the Batthyány Kastélyszálló, a few kilometres from Pécs. Interesting place – it was lovely outside, but a bit rough inside, with plaster literally peeling off the walls. Still, it was good fun.
These splendid-looking geese are residents at the Weald and Down Open Air Museum, West Sussex, England.
