Garfnet updates

I just had quite a busy couple of weeks updating all the tables in our “Reference Tables” section. This is the part of the site where we put all the boring but occasionally useful stuff, such as battery sizes, radio frequencies, internet radio streams and an assortment of other tabulated data that comes in handy form time to time..

Problem was that it consisted of a plethora of separate tables, some of which dated back to the 1990’s. It became a nightmare to maintain. Anyway to cut a long story short, the whole   section is now supported by a new centrally maintained. “info” database. In fact you can see the underlying data here, in our info viewer, if you are interested. I need to test the system and iron out any wrinkles for a few weeks. Then I plan to make the plugin I created as a free download.
